What's for Dinner?, 2024

Another long time ambition of mine to make shrimp. For years now I have wanted to make little shrimp sculptures. I wasn't thinking of making shrimp for this exhibit. Where does it fit in? But I saw an article that "Shrimp" are very popular in fashion and decorating. It sparked an idea and I have been watching the "Feud" series of shows by Ryan Murphy. The decadence, gaudy, over the top, when shrimp cocktail & oysters were the height of sophistication. It made me think that this is the time to make some shrimp.

The shrimp are made with wool, wire, beeswax and glass eyes. The lemon is all wool. Wool backing. Wood frame.
