Wet Felted Scarf Class
In this three hour class on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 10am-1pm participants will learn the basics of wet felting. Wet felting is a technique of using soap, water and arm strength to turn wool fibers into a scarf. Participants will learn about various wool types and different fibers that are great for wet felting. All materials and tools will be provided (there is a limited color palate of wool and silk). No experience necessary.
Participants will leave with one finished yet wet scarf.
Please wear clothes that are ok to get wet and messy and comfortable shoes since we will be standing a long time.
Please bring a plastic bag to bring your scarf home in and a few old towels that you will use during the felting process.
Pre-registration is required and there must be 4 people to run the class. Participants will be notified by email a day or two prior to inform them if the class is running and information regarding directions, etc.
This class will be located at the Sandpaper Factory at 83 E. Water Street, Rockland, MA.
